My LinkedIn Token has expired - what does that mean?

You receive an email saying your LinkedIn Token has expired. What does that mean? What do you do?

What does it mean?

This means your LinkedIn company account is about to become unlinked from your Refari account. This means attempts to socialise to your LinkedIn Company page will not work so we need to renew the token.

LinkedIn forces applications like Refari to make users renew tokens every 3 months to make sure the connection is still needed and authorised.

What do you have to do?

Very simply click the link in the email you receive from us.

This will take you to Refari and to your Social Networks page and you will see your LinkedIn account. You need to Unlink it and re-link it. Click on Unlink.

Once unlinked, click on 'Connect LinkedIn'

You will then be asked Login in to your account

and then accept the permissions by clicking on Allow

If you do not renew your token before it expires, you will see a slightly different notification on the LinkedIn Social Networks page.

However you simply need to do the same procedure of unlinking and re-linking your twitter account.

How to check it has been renewed

In your Refari account, go to 'Settings' and then 'Social Networks'

If you see your LinkedIn account in the LinkedIn section then your token has been renewed!

Here's a video showing you how to do this:
